As reported by the American music publication Billboard on the 30th, 'Arirang' has achieved the number one spot on the main album chart 'Billboard 200' for the week dated April 4. The album debuted on the chart with 641,000 album units, marking the highest weekly performance for a group album since the introduction of unit tracking in December 2014. Of this figure, 532,000 were attributed to pure album sales, including both physical and digital formats, setting a new record for the highest weekly sales for a group album in over ten years.
BTS has also been successful on international music charts. The group dominated the weekly charts on Spotify, a global audio and music streaming platform, for the period of March 20-26. They led the 'Weekly Top Albums', 'Weekly Top Songs', and 'Weekly Top Artists' global charts. The title track 'SWIM' achieved the number one position on the 'Weekly Top Songs Global', and all 14 tracks from the album ranked within the top 30.
The track 'SWIM' held the top spot on Spotify's 'Daily Top Songs Global' and Apple Music's 'Top 100 Global' for 9 days (March 20-28) and 7 days (March 23-29) respectively. Additionally, all album tracks were included in the latest chart rankings on both platforms. Even ten days post-release, all tracks from the album continue to maintain significant popularity, indicating strong support from global music enthusiasts.
BTS is scheduled to conduct the 'BTS WORLD TOUR 'ARIRANG'' at the Goyang Sports Complex Main Stadium in Goyang, Gyeonggi Province, on April 9, 11, and 12. The group will also perform stadium concerts in several South American countries, including Colombia, Peru, Argentina, Chile, and Brazil, in October. The 46 total performances, encompassing those in Goyang, North America, Europe, and Tokyo, Japan, have all sold out in advance, highlighting the group's substantial drawing power for ticket sales.
